Nigeria hosting the World Conference of Banking in this time of recession is a right step in the right direction — Mr Abayomi Michael Osho (Managing Director Verite Microfinance Bank)
The Chartered institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) have gathered again for another annual professional conference, this time they are hosting the world and the theme for this year’s conference is titled “Rethinking the future of Banking and Finance and Life-long learning”. The focus of this conference is to brainstorm on how effort can be made to enthrone professional excellence in the banking industry in Nigeria and the world at large. This struggle is based essentially on the Need to jealously guard, preserve and positively project on the noble profession of banking, which is based on the principle of “Trust and Honesty”, considering the numerous problems associated with a developing banking industry and the Nigerian economy and the world in general.
In other to be in the top league of banking and finance and to fit in properly in this time that the country is under recession. The Managing Director of Verite Microfinance Bank, who is also currently attending the conference, said hosting the world conference of Banking at this time of recession is a right step in the right direction.
